ive had the gun since august, its a 44.magnum desert eagle spring handgun.It shoots at about 290 fps and holds 28 bbs.today i was gonna shoot some cans but when i shot once the bb shot out of the barrel VERY slow like 2-4 fps, whats wrong with the gun and can i fix it?

before i go on, yes i do have all the required licenses and have paid all the fees and have gone through the procces and i am finally at the stage of purchasing my first ever hand gun. i want a handgun that i could use for protection and keep in my house, but also take to the shooting range. i was hoping for a gun with accuracy because i tried a desert eagle (it was my friends) and i couldnt control the recoil. but i also like to have a high capacity magazine so i dont have to keep on reloading and so i can shoot more and not pay alot for bullets.


My friend and I were discussing how thick of a pad of post-it notes would you need to stop a bullet from a typical handgun (nothing too crazy like desert eagle/magnum) from 10 feet away. This may be a long shot but does anybody know? or have a guess?

Long shot you have hit the nail on the head. The gas operated rotating bolt design of the Desert eagle was solely designed for high pressure high velocity cartridges, the 40 sw simply cannot achieve this task.


and why is everyone again desert eagle
if its heavy , get a pepper spray
if its complicated learn how to use it
limited rounds in magazine , get a custom made

I have been asking alot of questions about handguns so if i get repeative please forgive me. I am going to moer than likely buy a hand gun tomorrow and i will be looking at these 3 for sure if you can reccomend any other specifics ones i would appreicate. I definetly want a 40 or 45 and i would like it to cost under 650. I am looking at the desert eagle baby eagle in the 40, taurus 24/7 in the 40 and a springfield XD in 40 or 45. I want one with a manual safety that you slide something other than the safety on the trigger or handle. No i do not want a revolver so please dont recommend one. Alot of people have said glocks were great but all the ones i say at gander mountain didnt have the safety i was looking for they all had the trigger safety. Thanks

I have posted something like this before, but I need more details as I didn't have time to ask for them last time. You could say I'm a rookie at airsoft but I'm not a bad shot, I don't have a gun anymore though since my Mk23 navy seal piston tooth ( I think that's what it's called) broke, I prefer handguns for there look and feel, I am looking at the KWC ultra grade desert eagle, but I'm not sure if it's performance is up to par, I want a gun that can stand up to alot of plinking, and maybe a fall or two, the UHC mp5 is supposed to be a good one but I'm not sure if it's a good gun for me. I want a gun with good performance of course, but really what I need is a plinker, I have a budget of 80-90 dollars, what gun do you suggest? I use the .50 caliber sniper rifle (which preforms very well by the way) on GTA 4 and I am deciding what is the best sidearm for that, so far I am using the desert eagle because it is small and packs a hell of a punch for a handgun. I recently purchased a Desert Eagle .50 AE handgun. I love the gun, its great fun and very exciting with only one drawback, the price of ammunition. It seems that the most least expensive way of shooting my Desert Eagle is to reload the excess shell casings. I have been researching online and watching numerous videos on the techniques of reloading, and also on the various brands of Reloading Presses. So I just wanted to know, what is the best Reloading Press brand for a Desert Eagle .50 caliber handgun? So far I limited it down to Lee, and Hornady. Links are encouraged as well :)


I know they aren't for everyone, but my brother just bought one in the 50 ae. It is a very nice gun. It is expensive, heavy, and a poor choice for self defense, but it seems to work perfectly for what he wanted. His has not had a jam yet, and most problems can be tied back to improper stance, or a bad mag. Any pistol can jam if it is limp wristed, it just happens more easily with a 50 ae because of the heavy springs. He bought the desert eagle because he wanted a big bore handgun for protection against bears when hiking and maybe even deer hunting, and he personally doesn't like revolvers. Me, I love my Super Redhawk 454 Casull, but I do have to admit that Desert Eagle is a very nice pistol. Not to mention it is much easier to shoot than my 454 Casull. It does not kick near as much as I had expected; it is much more pleasant than my 454. So why do people rag on those hand cannons. Like I said, they aren't for everyone, but they do have their place.
I've heard the problems of the brass hitting you in the forehead, but his didn't have that problem. The brass lands about a foot behind you and two to three feet to the right. Once again, DE says improper stance can make the brass hit you in the forehead, but that wasn't our experience.

I'm pretty sure that it's the Desert Eagle There are so many design flaws it has way to much recoil.


I've gone shooting the range twice ... and I got hooked. Ive been using my friends 38 revolver but I want to get my own gun. His 38 isn't really intriguing to me, I would like a little more bang (although we never used magnum ammo). and I would like to get a semi-automatic (for the looks). Its only going to be used in the range and (obviously home protection).

What kind of handgun would you recommend? By the way, my budge isn't a lot. I would like to get a pre-owned weapon to save money, but Im considering anything around $600. Keep in mind, im a new-bee, I was looking at desert eagle because I have seen that gun so many times in the movies ;-)

Well I'm really excited right now cause I'm fixin to get a new handgun!!! My dad just said he'd get me any handgun i wanted. so, price is no object. Preferably I'd like something as pretty and powerful as a Desert Eagle (not "as powerful" but you know what I mean, just powerful) but light and small enough for concealed and open carry. PASSAIC TWP. -- A Gillette man was arrested at his home last Thursday night after he fired eight bullets at his home computer, according to police.

The man, Michael A. Case, 35, of 64 Summit Ave., was arrested shortly after 11 p.m., at his house, when police said they received a report that shots were fired. They arrived at the home to find a .44 Magnum automatic handgun and a shot-up IBM personal computer with a Princeton Graphics System monitor.

The monitor screen was blown out by the blasts and its inner workings were visible, Lt. Donald Van Tassel said on Monday. The computer, which had bullet holes in its hardware, was hit four times while four more bullet holes were found in various areas next to the computer, Van Tassel said.

"The only thing he (Case) said was that he was mad at his computer so he shot it," Van Tassel said.

The handgun, which the lieutenant identified as an Israeli Arms Desert Eagle .44, has "a lot of firepower," he said. "It's a big gun." Case used hollow-point, or dum-dum, bullets, he added.

Case was surprised when police arrested him because he didn't think he was breaking the law, Van Tassel said. "He couldn't understand why he couldn't shoot his own computer in his own home," Van Tassel said.

Case was charged with recklessly creating a risk and using a firearm against the property of another, because the house is reportedly owned by a relative. The walls were also damaged by the shots, according to police.

He was also charged with unlawful posession of a firearm without a permit, and with possession of illegal bullets, police said.

In addition, Case was issued to summonses, for discharging a weapon in a restricted area and for discharging a single-projectile weapon, police said.

Case spent early Friday morning in the Morris County Jail and was released later in the day on $2,500 bail, according to police.

A Municipal Court appearance is scheduled for today, Sept. 17.

Some people hunt game birds with handguns and some hardcore hunters even use them for deer sized game but I seriously doubt that a handgun could take down the largest north american big game like moose, elk and caribou but if anything I think a desert eagle could handle moose sized animals , could it?

I had a weird dream and at some point this happened:
we walked to a big building, Me, and some other 2 guys ( no idea who they were) anyway in the meantime i had selected out of somwhere a Desert Eagle handgun(i think i had some choices and for high dmg i wanted d.eagle). The other 2 guys had guns, also, no idea what tho. We walked closer to the big building, then there walked out 4-5 "terrorists" (i think they were bad, cant tell it). Between us 3, and the terrorists there was a van, i started shotting at them, first whitout aiming 2-3 shots, all missed, then they shot back, they had kalasnikovs , i bow down under the van, aimed at the nearest terrorist, shot 2 misses (notice i did see how the bullets flied, the wind like blowed them aside) anyway the third hit was well aimed and hitted the terrorist head, near the eyes. The terrorist well down, crabbed his head whit his hands, moved a bit and then stopped moving, he was pretty dead . (this was the best part at my dream as i enjoyed it how i saw the bullet flyng in slow motion to his head.

This all is far more complicated and more detailed, but its so hard to tell it. My question remains, why do i liked this dream so much, i think this was the best i will ever see. It was 10 times better than sex.

Okay, so I got into a conversation with this guy I know about handguns. He said that he loved his .50 Desert Eagle AE, and you couldn't beat him if he had that, because he carries so many extra clips, and he's such a great shot. I said that I had heard bad things about the Desert Eagle .50, that it jammed alot. I said that I liked the old revolvers, and that I wanted a Ruger New Vaquero. He basically said that revolvers were sh!t handguns, because they only held 6 shots, and they took so long to reload. I told him that you only needed 6 shots, and revolvers will never jam. I guess he didn't like my opinion, because he told me that I read too much, and I'm not old enough to know anything, so I should shut up an listen to him. I'm only 17, and can't buy guns yet, but I'd like to say I'm pretty knowledgeable in the weapons field. I thought that remark was pretty offensive, and ignorant. So what do you think. Who is right, and am I an underage idiot?


Hey just my opinion you can share yours but dont be mean or jerky or anythin its just opinions.

5. Gold Desert Eagle- No need for overkill with this handgun because its a 2-3 hit kill with Stopping Power. You just need to know how to use it and then its absolutely beast gun.

4. G3 (Silencer, UAV Jammer, Dead Silence, Bandolier, Red Tiger) Great gun with RDS too and i love it for my stealth gun because i can shoot the whole clip in like 3-4 seconds and has no recoil.

3. AK-47 (Red Dot Site, Bandolier, Stopping Power, Martyrdom, Golden) I love this gun. Its very powerful and has decent fire rate. Its a 2 hit kill with Stopping Power and is a very good gun for medium range.

2. M4 Carbine (Silencer or Red Dot Site, Bandolier, Stopping Power, Dead Silence or Deep Impact, Red Tiger) Very very solid gun. can be used for any range and has great accuracy, fire rate, and mobility. No recoil at all so u just need to aim and shoot!

1. Barret .50Cal (Claymore or Bandolier, Stopping Power, Steady Aim)
What cant you say about this gun. its way more powerful then the R700 (even though they say there the same there not) good accuracy i think and you dont even need stopping power for it its still a 1 hit kill most of the time! it can be used as a pistol with Bandolier and u can shoot it rapidly with steady aim. Good at getting double kills.
