I just read this article. It makes me so sad that these people did this to her. I think that they were trying to kill her so that Howard Stern could possibly inherit her money and pay off the doctors. He so badly wanted to be the father of Dannielyn, and I believe not for love, but for the money.

****Anna Nicole Smith's longtime partner and attorney, Howard K. Stern, and a doctor were jailed Thursday on charges of conspiring to furnish drugs before her death in 2007, authorities said.
Dangerous cocktails of prescription drugs were pumped into Smith "almost to the point of stupefaction" and eventually led to her death, California Attorney General Jerry Brown said Friday.

Stern and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor were arrested and later released from a Los Angeles County jail Thursday night after each posted a $20,000 bond, a police spokesman said.

Dr. Khristine Eroshevich also faces charges and is expected to turn herself in Monday, authorities said.

The doctors and Stern devised a plan to use fake names so Smith could be prescribed "thousands of pills," Brown said.

Her doctors knew she was addicted, Brown said.

"The quantity of the drugs, the variety of the drugs, the combination at any given point and her continuing to use that; that, to a professional, is clear evidence of addiction," Brown said.
"These cocktails of methadone and antidepressants and sleeping pills and Xanax, you put all that into a cocktail, it explodes and can cause death, injury and permanent morbidity and disability," he said.
Smith, 39, was pronounced dead February 8, 2007, after being found unconscious in her hotel room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino near Hollywood, Florida.

The former Playboy playmate and reality TV star died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, a coroner said. Several prescription medications -- both in Smith's and Stern's names -- were found in the room after her death.

Officials said prescription and over-the-counter drugs were found in Smith's system, including three antidepressant or antianxiety drugs. Also found in toxicology testing was human growth hormone and chloral hydrate, a sleep medication, officials said.

Stern and Kapoor, both 40, and Eroshevich, 61, each were charged with eight felonies, including conspiring to furnish controlled substances, unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance and obtaining fraudulent prescriptions from June 2004 to January 2007 -- only weeks before Smith's death.

Kapoor and Eroshevich also were each charged with obtaining a prescription for opiates by "fraud, deceit or misrepresentation." And each was charged with one count of obtaining a prescription for opiates by giving a false name or address, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.
Smith was buried in the Bahamas on March 2, 2007, next to the grave of her son, Daniel, who had died in September 2006, days after the birth of her daughter, Dannielynn.
Brown said his office will aggressively target California doctors who over-prescribe dangerous drugs.

"People think those drug dealers on the street corners are the only threat," he said. "As a matter of fact, people in white smocks and pharmacies and with their medical degrees are a growing threat, and we aim to curtail it and curb it in the best way we can."

After the hearing, Stern said he would not fight for custody.

An expert in genetic evidence said the DNA analysis has proven Birkhead is Dannielynn's father. Dr. Michael Baird, who analyzed the results of a March 21 DNA test, announced the results outside the court. "Essentially, he's the biological father," Baird said.

A jubilant Birkhead said "My baby's going to be coming home pretty soon."

Anna's mother doesn't seem to care about her daughter;s burial and tried to stop it before it started. What kind of mother would delay the funeral since she was so beautiful and couldn't have a open casket which she really wanted but the proceedings took so long. They could have given her a proper burial and the exume the body if her mothter won the fight. I feel for Larry Berkheart since he seems sincere and feally thinks his is the father. He has been there through all the proceedings and the circus with this whole thing. No one seemed to care about her other than Larry. I feel for him. He seems to provide a prober house and a nanny and I think if he is the father, he should get custody. I read an article about this today in Phoenix news and I was wondering if anyone had heard anything else about it. It states that she met a man that lives on an Indian Reservation and they had a short lived romance and she got pregnant and had the baby in 2001. He is 5 years old and supposedly has met and knows that Anna is his mother...there were even pictures of him. His father states that she sent $10,000 a month and he has all records of that, letters notes and claims that Howard K Stern also knows and has accompanied her to go see her son. The father says that she gave custody to him because of lack of time to spend with her son???? I just think that this is crazy considering the love she had for children and how hard she fought for her daughter and the love that she had for her son that was so unconditional. In my own opinion (and I hope I am wrong) I believe that Howard K. Stern may have had a hand in the death of Daniel and Anna Nicole Smith. I mean come on, what are the odds?? Anna Nicole was estranged from her mother for 15 years before her death, and had been on her own since 15. How was her mother able to get a court order in the bahamas preventing Anna's long time companion Howard Stern from taking his own daughter out the country? That seems like an injustice.


I just saw on Extra that Anna Nicole Smith's Will says that she leaves all of her assets ($250million) to her son (who died 5 months ago). Following the line of succession, the money probably will go to her daughter, Dannilynn. Therefore, that's why all these men are claiming to be Dannilynn's father. I'm pretty sure that Stern, the lawyer, drafted the Will. If he can show that he is the father, well guess what, he's got access to that $250 million! What a conspiracy!

I think this is all too fishy..Anna Nicole and her son were perfectly fine until this lawyer got involved and her son daniel did not like howard stern..usually kids do have an instinct. I do 100 percent feel that her son was poisoned and that she was as well.. there are substances that will kill a person and will not show in an autopsy. this is so tragic, even though I was not a "fan" of hers I do not like to see people hurt or worse killed...I think that if he did kill her that his time will come and something tragic will happen to him. and this poor baby girl..hopefully she will end up in the right care even if he ends up with all the money the care of this child is most important.

I understand he is her son, and mothers don't do that, but we will never know what really happened. I just cannot understand, how in the matter of a few months, it was just Anna and her son, then for one or two days, it was the three of them, then, a few months later, it is the poor baby standing all alone. What a sad story, and I really hope my alter outlook on this topic, is not true, and I hope Howard is the father, because only Anna knew what was best for her daughter, and she obviously felt it would be Howard K. Stern.

I really feel sad about her daughter: no mother, brother, and now which daddy? The Prince Anhalt, Birkhead, Stern? And the reported billions. I say the billions go back to the Howard Marshall family the rightful owners. What kind of life will this little girl have raised with all this publicity, and no family?

To the people saying its impossiable for Anna to have been murdered- The coincidences in Daniels murder and Annas are too stark. Coincidences are too many. Think out of the box for a min.

think of this.- If say.. hypotheticaly- that i wanted to kill you... you are infact making it easier for me to.. because u wont even try to see things from the warped perception of a killer. Your using logic and reason to determine how u feel about a the death. A killer wouldnt A- use logic the same way you or I would and B- do not have the same feelings.. if an . as you or i do.

The sudden death of Smith came just five months after Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel Smith, died in the Bahamas three days after the birth of her daughter.

Smith was found in her hotel room and given CPR by Seminole tribal fire rescue and Hollywood fire rescue workers, said Michael Bloom, president of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Smith's nurse called hotel workers at the hotel at 1:38 p.m. and security went to the hotel room, hotel officials said. Fire rescue workers from both the Seminole Indian tribe and from Hollywood arrived minutes later and Smith was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood at 2:10 p.m.

Smith had been ordered to have her five-month-old baby girl undergo a paternity test as part of a lawsuit by an ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead.

Birkhead sued Smith in October, demanding she have the paternity test because he believed he was the father of the girl. Smith had said her lawyer, Howard K. Stern, is the father of the baby.

Smith, who was born Vickie Lynn Hogan and raised in the small Texas town of Mexia, grew up emulating screen legend Marilyn Monroe.

She met elderly oil billionaire J. Howard Marshall while dancing at a Houston strip club and married him in 1994, when she was 26 and he 89.

Marshall died the following year and Smith spent much of the following decade battling members of his family over his estate. In May of 2006 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Smith could pursue her case in federal court.

Smith, who modelled Guess Jeans, was named Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Year in 1994 and had film roles that year in "The Hudsucker Proxy" and "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult."
