I am wanting to put true dual straight pipes (no mufflers) on my Chevy 2002 X cab Z71. I have all the tools all I need except for a pipe bender and I wanna save money and not have anyone bend it for me. So is there any where that I can find just pre bent tubing or am I going to have to buy the tubing and get it bent for me? Thanks.
And how much would it cost to reroute my exhaust to have a stack going up the right side of my windshield. Just for parts -- I can do the work myself; I just have to use the pipe bender in Auto Tech.
It wouldn't be too big of a deal if I had to cut out the wheel wells to fit the tires, and it wouldn't be a big deal if I also had to get a tighter suspension put in. But lifting it is too much work. If I get it lifted, I will do it professionally, and that means tilting the engine and transmission down toward the rear wheels, and tilting the rear axle up. That is a lot more work than I want to do. And if I don't tilt the engine and rear axle, it puts too much strain on the driveshaft and u joints, and I want to keep this truck for a looooooong time. So... is it possible to carve out the wheel wells and/or tighten up the suspension and put 33" TSL Super Swampers on a Jeep Cherokee without getting it lifted?
i want to angle my exhaust can upwards but how can i bend it upwards with no pipe bender etc and no heat source ? can i ?
There were two blonds who got into a fender bender and there was a huge dent in the car. One of the blonds gets down on her knees and starts blowing into the exhaust pipe. The other blonde says "No you have to roll up the windows before you do that you idiot!".
I want to put a true dual exhaust system on my Z71. I know I want it to be pretty loud but still sound good. I would do the exhaust system myself, but I don't have a pipe bender and I also can't find a true dual exhaust system anywhere.
does anyone know an easy way of bending an exhaust pipe without it creasing at all, without the aid of pipe benders
I was wondering if there was any cheaper manual/hydraulic type benders out there that would give me decent bends with out the inside of the bend flattening out or wrinkling? I am hoping not to spend over a couple hundred bucks on a bender so obviously theres no way i could afford a mendrel bender or anything, but I would like to get info from anyone else that has or does bend pipes and knows of a way to make decent quality bends in a fairly cheap way. I do want to be able to bend up to a 3" pipe with different thicknesses using stainless and aluminum. I am guessing the thinner intake pipes I want to bend will have the most distortion when bending. I know even a mendrel has a very slight distortion, but in my case I just want to get the least amount of distortion in the bends at a reasonable price. So is there any ways of doing this? certain tools/benders I should look into? Any advise from someone that actually does pipe bending would be appreciated, thanks
i want to make upsweeps for my sportster and my friend has a 2 inch pipe bender
